King Harald V of Norway is reportedly preparing for his first-ever official visit to Nigeria after proposing a 10-year rare earth minerals partnership, including rhodium—one of the rarest and most valuable precious metals on Earth—alongside a $100 billion economic package, in a personal appeal for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
According to the report, the Norwegian monarch described Nnamdi Kanu as a man whose determination and commitment to his cause are “worth more than all the material wealth the Earth can offer.”
“I never imagined that Africa would capture my attention in this way until I learned about Nnamdi Kanu. I do not simply see a man—I see the hopes of millions. I see a leader driven by conviction and sacrifice. History remembers those who stand for what they believe, and I want to witness that history unfold with my own eyes,” the statement attributed to King Harald V reads.
The report further claims that the King’s planned visit to Nigeria would mark the first time a reigning Norwegian monarch has traveled to the country, drawing global attention and intense diplomatic interest.
